Paul Andrew Williams is perhaps best known for his critically acclaimed, award winning movie "London To Brighton" which featured a young girls friendship with a street girl as she runs away from London to escape some violent gangsters which ends up leaving the girl in grave danger.
The movie should be screened in 2009 & is already a favourite within the festival circuit.
The Grid have just been confirmed to close the Castle Stage after Roisin Murphy at this years The Big Chill Festival on August 1st.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both Dave & Richard not only to play after Roisin (or a fantastic opportunity for her to play before them maybe!!), but to close the stage too!

Dave Ball has just finished an interview for Prism Films for a new documentary looking into the effect the 60's, 70's & early 80's music has had on the electronic music scene & how it has shaped it into what it has become now!
As a member of Soft Cell, Dave is a perfect example of how influential these times have been on the music scene from then, to now!
Prism Films are responsible for some fantastic documentaries & programmes in recent years & we are sure that this will be a huge success!
The Grid & Long Range has a great time on the "20th Anniversary Of Acid House" panel hosted by John Robb at The Great EscapeFestival.
The place was packed as they spoke about their time at what is perhaps one of the best era's for dance music.
Dave Ball reminisced at his time as Soft Cell & how important they were in the development of electronic music (along with Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre & the likes), whilst Phil Hartnoll spoke of his time in Orbital with his brother Paul.
Richard Norris spoke of how The Grid's legendary track "Swamp Thing" was only meant to be a joke that ended up being an international hit!!
Nick Smith wondered what all the fuss was about as he was only a "nipper" (kid to all you US readers) when the "2nd Summer Of Love" erupted!!!
And how can we forget our brothers & sisters "across the pond" in the USA for their influence on our UK Acid House scene as together we all produced some classic Acid hits!

Long Range is the new project by Phil Hartnoll who is best known as one half of legendary live & recorded act Orbital who were one of the biggest electronic acts for almost 20 years & had such hits as Chime, Belfast, Satan, Funny Break & more. They were also famous for their legendary live sets with the now classic "headlight glasses" & for their version of Dr Who.
Now with writing partner Nick Smith who is best known for his work with labels such as Dragonfly (Youth's Psy Trance label) & for his work on Ridley Scott's Hannibal movie, they have released a new album entitled Madness & Me which has been very well received both critically & publicly, & what with a selection of high profile live dates, Long Range are set for great things.
The new album harks back to the ambient textures of Orbital, but with that new distinct style that will soon be synonymous with them.
