"You'll go on stage thinking you're Oakenfold & Dakeyne.."

Once described by house music legend, Jazzy 'M' as "Dakeyne..The Studio Master!", this British born DJ/Producer has surely contributed to the true history of dance music, DJ'ing and Music Production in a dedicated career spanning almost two decades. Paul's ability to programme credible, feel good tunes to achieve crowd pleasing mayhem has attained him the respect of his peers, the music industry and the thousands of clubber's worldwide that have rocked to his DJ sets.

An almost uncountable collection of remixes and original music has poured forth from Paul's studio, for classic artists such as James Brown, Soft Cell, New Order, Prince, Donna Summer, Heaven 17, Madonna, Talking heads, Yazoo, Erasure, Duran Duran, Yello, Boy George, Edwin Starr, Pulp, Sir Paul McCartney, Queen, The Specials, Squeeze & Grace Jones, the list is literally endless! Most recently, Paul has remixed for UK Indie faves, The Fratellis, and the 'britpop' monster, "Song 2" by Blur

Paul is no stranger to chart success in his own right, scoring his biggest selling production, Tinman's "18 Strings", which fused rock guitar with storming house beats, spawning a string of imitators in its wake.

There exists a higher echelon of bona-fide superstar DJ's within the dance music industry.. many of which have referred to Paul Dakeyne as.. "the DJ's DJ.." His live mixing ability is world renowned, appreciation shown by an invitation to take the DJ residency for U2's (Dublin based) 'Kitchen' nightclub ('93/'94) and Kraftwerk, for an 'after-party' session during their 2004 Baltic tour. Between '96 & 2002, Paul travelled the globe as a Ministry of Sound tour resident, exciting and stimulating his varied audiences along the way. He has DJ'd in vast arena's to 10,000 clubbers, and then to an intimate crowd of 100, throwing the same passion and enthusiasm for his art equally to both!

Paul has been busy remixing the likes of "Tainted Love" for Soft Cell which is included on the "Heat-The Remixes" album due for release in June 2008 on the Some Bizzare/Universal label, & is currently working on his own new material with guest collaborations for release in late 2008 & early 2009, adding to that his extensive DJ schedule, is it any wonder that Dakeyne is still classed as that "studio master"!!!!
